A little postcard from France 🇫🇷

What the French can teach us about living (and eating) well

Hi Reader

Bonjour from France! I’m spending a few days with my friend and fellow health coach, Sarah, at her beautiful property in South West France. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and meals are savoured rather than rushed.

What strikes me every time I’m in France is how naturally healthy the lifestyle feels. People take their time to eat — sitting down, chatting, really tasting their food. Meals are simple but full of fresh, seasonal ingredients. There’s less snacking, fewer processed foods, and no guilt around enjoying a glass of wine or a piece of cheese.

It’s a great reminder that good health isn’t about restriction — it’s about balance, pleasure, and consistency. Eating slowly, using fresh ingredients, and sharing meals with others all support digestion, reduce stress, and help us feel more satisfied.

I’m coming home feeling inspired to bring a little of that French magic back with me — and I can’t wait to share more about our possible retreat here next year.

Until then, maybe you can channel a touch of French living this weekend: light a candle, set the table beautifully, and savour your next meal.

Ă€ bientĂ´t,
Rebecca 🌿
